The X1300 is a 3D‑printed FPV fixed‑wing aircraft developed by XFly Model. Featuring a high‑wing, pod‑and‑boom (rear‑mounted propeller) layout with a 1300mm wingspan and 972mm fuselage length, it offers excellent flight stability and an unobstructed forward view.

Its standout feature is the open‑source 3D‑printed design — many structural components are 3D‑printed, and users can download official STL files to print replacement parts or make custom modifications, greatly expanding flexibility and personalization.

The entire model uses a screw‑less quick‑release system with snap‑fit locks, allowing assembly in just 2 minutes. The spacious battery bay accommodates standard 4S LiPo packs or 21700 battery packs (up to 4S2P‑10000mAh), delivering 10‑30 minutes of flight time. The nose is pre‑equipped with mounts for DJI O3 and Walksnail Moonlight Kit HD FPV systems, and also supports fixed‑angle cameras and gimbals. The fuselage bottom includes abrasion pads for easy hand‑launching and grass landings, and an optional landing gear module can be added for runway takeoffs and landings.

With a beginner difficulty rating and about 15 minutes of assembly and setup time, the X1300 is ideal for newcomers to FPV fixed‑wing, while also offering plenty of room for advanced hobbyists to customize.

No. The X1300 uses a tool‑free quick‑release system with snap‑fit locks. No screws or glue are required; you can assemble it by hand in about 2 minutes.

Q2: Which FPV systems are compatible with the X1300?

The nose has dedicated mounting positions for DJI O3 Air Unit and Walksnail Moonlight Kit HD FPV systems. It also supports fixed‑angle cameras and gimbals simultaneously.

Q3: What batteries can I use, and what flight time can I expect?

The battery bay fits 4S 2600‑3300mAh LiPo packs and 21700‑4S1P‑5000mAh packs, with room for up to 21700‑4S2P‑10000mAh. Dimensions are limited to 140×35×35mm. Flight time ranges from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the battery.

Q4: What's the difference between the KIT and PNP versions?

The KIT version includes all structural parts (fuselage, wings, tail surfaces, etc.) but no electronics – you supply your own motor, ESC, servos, and propeller. The PNP version comes with the 2212‑KV1400 motor, 40A ESC, 5 metal‑gear servos, and the 8×5" propeller pre‑installed. With the PNP, you only need to add your own transmitter, receiver, and battery.

Q5: Is the X1300 suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Its beginner‑level difficulty, high‑wing design, and inherent stability make it an excellent choice for pilots transitioning from multi‑rotors to fixed‑wing. We recommend adult supervision for users under 14.

Q6: What are the advantages of the pusher (pod‑and‑boom) layout?

The rear‑mounted propeller keeps the nose completely clear, eliminating prop shadows in FPV footage. It also makes hand‑launching safer and prevents airflow interference with cameras and gimbals.

Q7: What materials are used, and how durable is the airframe?

The airframe combines lightweight, high‑strength EPO foam with PLA additive parts. EPO offers good impact resistance, and the PLA 3D‑printed components can be reprinted if damaged, keeping maintenance costs low.

Q8: Can I install flaps, and does it support runway takeoffs/landings?

Yes, the X1300 has预留 positions for flaps. For takeoff and landing, you have two options: (1) hand‑launch and grass‑land using the built‑in abrasion pads, or (2) install the optional landing gear module for runway operations.
