Halo mini is a medium‑large fixed‑wing UAV platform purpose‑built for aerial surveying and FPV flying. With a wingspan of 1600mm, fuselage length 1070mm, wing area 33dm², and an empty weight of just 940g, it delivers a remarkable maximum takeoff weight of 5kg – showcasing excellent payload capability. The modular quick‑release design allows each component to be easily separated for compact storage, greatly enhancing portability and field‑switching efficiency. To withstand frequent assembly cycles, the aileron quick‑release hooks are reinforced with steel plates and metal hooks, while the wing quick‑connect plugs feature a one‑piece molded design that handles high currents reliably and durably. Internal plywood reinforcements throughout the fuselage significantly increase structural strength, ensuring the airframe remains robust during aggressive maneuvers or rough landings.

For mission versatility, the Halo mini includes预留 mounting points for nose motor and VTOL units, supporting a 4+1 vertical takeoff and landing conversion to operate in complex environments. Two interchangeable payload bays come standard: a landing‑gear cover and a mirrorless‑camera cover, so you can adapt to different equipment. You will need an external BEC (e.g., 5V/5A or as required by your FC) or a separate power module (e.g., a 2S LiPo directly feeding the FC). Connect the BEC input in parallel with the main battery and its output to the FC’s power port.
Q2: The bay fits a 22000mAh 6S pack – how do I adjust the CG?
Slide the battery fore/aft to achieve the recommended CG at roughly 1/3 chord behind the wing leading edge. Always verify with a CG stand before the first flight. If the battery is fully forward and the nose is still light, add nose weight; if too far back, rearrange internal components.
Q3: Will frequent quick‑release use cause wear? How to maintain?
The aileron hooks are metal and wear‑resistant; the wing plugs are one‑piece molded for durability. Inspect hooks for secure locking and plugs for oxidation before each flight. Apply a small amount of conductive grease every 50 cycles and check screw tightness regularly.
Q4: Does swapping canopies affect flight performance noticeably?
The streamlined canopy has lower drag, slightly improving cruise efficiency for high‑speed survey.
